Hey Bulldog

Yo yo yo peeps how goes it. This week was a good one! Majority was just a-workin and a-learnin, so lemme think. I'll start off the email with all the outline other stuff that this week contained and then get into the actual content.

Really tried to use as many emojis as I could for maximum entertainment there. But now that that's out of the way, this week was a bunch of just the good ol grind, and the works coming along really well! We have a ton of super faithful folks progressing, the ward is strengthening and getting more and more involved, and the hand of the Lord is being seen more and more as the days go by. This week, I especially tried to give the work my all. Even when we placed dates or had good lessons an hour before the day ended, I tried maintaining the same level of effort consistently throughout the week. I noticed a big difference in my work ethic with this approach. By the end of the week, I could say for certain that I gave each day my all, and that made it so that I could trust the outcome the Lord gave us a lot more. Now's for the good news and the bad news.

The good news is that we put 2 people on date for this week in one day! The bad news is that both of them didn't work out πŸ€’πŸ˜”. Curse these darn illnesses spreading, always wash your hands folks. But like I said above, the fact that we were really trying our best in each moment, searching for the opportunities the Lord gave us, making the most of them, striving to have the spirit with us in every moment, really made all the difference. I know that some of the time my expectations and desires are different than the Lord's, but this week has been a testifier to me to keep my eyes on the big picture. Even if the dates fell through for the week, I've gotta think celestial and remember that these people are still progressing amazing! Even if it wasn't the timing I necessaily wanted it, the Lord has a plan for all of his children, and I know that as I continue to work hard each day and be able to say that I really gave it my all, my trust in the lord will increase, and I'll be able to see more miracles and blessings poured out throughout my mission.

To continue the theme of the work ethic grind, I read the legendary Alma 26 this week, which dished some fuego wisdom. This chapter is after Ammon, the beast missionary of the Book of Mormon, had finished his work and is now giving thanks for all of the blessings he recieved. The advice he gives regarding mission work is profound. In verse 22, he states:
22 Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing—unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance.
I would encourage any other missionary reading to read this chapter in it's entirety, it's one of those guaranteed-teach-you-something-real-good chapters of scripture. But this chapter really taught me the importance of simple consistency. The Lord isn't asking for us to become masters at a million different skills, but he wants that we focus and better our faith, our desire to repent and to serve, and our prayers to him, 1% better each and every day. The same Gospel that I teach every single day to people who have never heard of the Gospel contains the same principals that I need to be better with. I need to strive to have more faith, repent more, pray more often, look for the opportunities that God is giving me more, and as I strive to do this I know that God's promise to Ammon can be the same to me. That his work and his will can be fulfilled, and I really can make the most of what I am meant to do here.

I bear witness as a called Servant of the Lord that his Gospel is a Gospel of simplicity. If you can enhance by 1 percent each day your Faith, Repentance, Prayer, and the covenants you've made to him, that is his desire for you. That is all he wants from you, is to improve and be striving towards him a little bit better each and every day.

Anyways folks that's my 2 cents. That's my knowledge, what I've learned this week, and what I will continue to improve and work on! Thank you all for reading, it means a lot. Email me if you wanna talk about how cool your life is, or if you're feeling sheepish you'll still be hearing from me this time next week! Until then, peace out
