MIRACLE OF THE WEEK: So Elder Velasquez is Venezuelan. Dude knows Spanish like the back of his hand. He told me he wants to learn English too, and I told him I'll slip him the info on how if he teaches me some Spanish too, and that was the deal. So one day this last week, we were walking to a visit, practicing Spanish for like an hour straight. I was tryna learn how to pray, say the necessary words for a lesson and everything, when we arrived at the visit. It was this reference named Jorge, who when we opened the door the FIRST thing he asked us was if we spoke Spanish. Bro moved to Brazil recently from Cuba, and he understood well but didn't speak any Portuguese. So boom, miracle number 1 that Elder Velaquez was in the right place at the right time to teach the guy in Spanish. Greetings folk another week has passed. I aint gotta tonna time today cause we gonna play some SPORTS for p day today. Been basically ever since I left the mtc I haven't played basketball, we'll see if I remember how to dribble  anyways though lemme tell a little about how the week was We got here on Tuesday and we immediately just started booking. I was like bro we should try and find someone ready for baptism this week and Elder Velasquez was like bet, so we just RAN to and from all the grey dots in the system who have already been to church. By Saturday night bro I was so beat, I felt like I was literally sleepwalking coming home. We weren't able to find anyone for baptism this week, but some of the folk we found came to church so that was super awesome  Thursday morning the AP called us and he was like "yo ima need you guys for babysitting" and summoned us to são bras on the pronto. Aight gang in this very moment im at the marabá airport at 2:06 in the gosh dang a.m. so you know what that be meaning.  we gettin TRANSFERRED folks   your boy is making the triumphant return to Belém and serving as zone leader with the dawg Elder Velasquez. I was actually surprised as tar 'cause I've only been in Marabá for one transfer, but the Lord wants me outta here AND he wants Elder Mortensen to train! My Kansas City brother is gonna be training one of the 25 arriving missionaries and man's gonna kill it. It's actually been such a fun transfer with him, dudes taught me a ton and we had so much fun while working hard. Mad grateful for bro, anyone who be companions with him in the future can be sure the transfer boutta be a party. Good morning peeps it has been yet another week! That's worth celebrating I'd say? A week doesn't just happen every day right? Anyways you guys, tearing this can of worms right open I've got some news for you all. This last week was about as eventful as the book of Jarom, but there was one key moment of noteworthiness. On Tuesday, I found myself back in the all too familiar throne of toe care in order to settle the score with these ingrown foes once and for all. Well I had my way with them and I think we got the problem solved, but I've been letting them recover all week so I've been stuck at home.  For that reason, not a whole ton to report on.
