Elder Jacob Hillstead

Well folks, one of the  most legendary transfers of the mission yet  wraps up with a bow! The Lord blessed us so much over these last 6 weeks it's unreal. So grateful for all of the experiences had and all the memories gained along the way! Let's get into this last week Tuesday right after our Zone P-Day, I ran a division with the great  Elder E. Souza ! Dude's a machine, we lowkey got rejected the whole day but he kept his head up through all of it like a beast. Glad I got to live it up with him too, cause this transfer he got sent to the mission office for good. Will see blud at the next CLM at least  Wednesday  we had lunch with Jose and his family! We met his wife recently, and she came to church over conference and also this last week. It's been so great teaching them - they are such an elect family and Jose's wife always says that  everything we explain makes sense to her!  The Lord has 100% prepared their hearts, and they are a family very dear ...

  Hey everybody, Happy Easter! Right now we're in a Van heading back to Castanhal from Capanema (where we were for our p-day today), so I haven't got much time. Fortunately, there aren't many new updates that are out of the ordinary, and I can't say anything more here than the Prophet, Apostles and other leaders didn't say already during General Conferenfe this weekend. If you haven't yet, go watch it! I watched it with a page of specific questions in mind, and I can say that ALL of them were answered! If not directly by what the speakers said - then by the Holy Ghost as I watched.  One of my favorite stories I heard from conference was from Susan H. Porter's talk, where she used the example of when the Salvador fed the 5,000 people.  The story mentions a boy among the crowd who had just some bread and fish to offer to the Savior. Whats up family! This week was like, INSANELY super duper good. Elder Doman & I have got our rythym working and we were doing our thing like normal, but the Lord went all out on blessing and changing the hearts of the people here in Milagre. We saw some seriously massive miracles!  Tuesday we had our first district meeting with everyone in person! Capanema (the 2 sisters on the right) made the trip down and it was a fun time.   Saturday night's are guy's night. All the other nights in the week, the other Elders and I in our house stay in our own corners to work, but Saturdays we set aside for pizza and cards. This last Saturday was no exception.  Elder Doman got the Pizza ordered, Elder Albuquerque was gettin the cards a-shuffled, and I went to take a shower before giving my all on Skull King. It was then that the unexpected occurred.  After I'd turned the water in the shower off, I was stepping outta the shower when out of nowhere -- the water pipe behind the toilet CAME LOOSE and water started flying EVERYWHERE. I tried to harness my inner Luigi to fix the pipe, but I never finished the plumber's beginner course. I couldn't fix the thing. My next mission was put a towel on and shout for the other Elders to come and help. Successful. I opened the door with my foot and shouted: HEEEELP HEEEELP, ELDERS COME HERE HEEEELP They came runnin, and all were in awe at the state of the situation. ...
