I'll follow the Sun
Good afternoon friends and fam! Man am I stoked to be talking to you guys today, happy Easter week! This last week was straight up EGGselent
(definitely not the first person to use that today) and I saw the hand of the Lord a ton during this very very special week. I hope that for everyone back at home, spring has started to blossom and snow has already melted, and for my friends here in Brazil, let's get ready for the summer together.
This week I had 2 fantastic divisons! Spent 2 days with 2 of the finest Brazilian Elders out there, young Elder Jans and Elder Vaz. Gosh these divisions were great, they were so fun and taught me a bunch. Elder Jans is like the most fun dude ever, literally don't know if I've ever seen the dude not smiling or joking, and he makes any stressful sitation better. Elder Vaz is probably like a certified super genius or something like that. Dude spent the day in my area and talked to everyone like they'd been best friends for years now. Both super good guys, and I'm so grateful for the time I had with em and the example I got to learn from.
After the divisons though I was pumped to be with the certified hustler Elder Johnson again. We've been hitting the work hard this week on all fronts, and for sure seeing the fruits of our labors being magnified by the Lord. There was this woman named Patricia we met out of the blue on Saturday who's straight up the definition of elect. Started conversing with her all lax and then we started talking about Joseph Smith and the restauration of God's church and she was taking a ton of interest. It was super cool because before we had even started the 'lesson' talk, she naturally opened up to us about the questions she was having about churches and religion and stuff like that. It was really really cool to find someone who's heart God has for sure prepared, and to be able to answer her questions and find more stability in the Gospel.
As for my Easter it was really good! We got invited over to have lunch with one of our favorite ward family members and it was a super great time. He had lunch with them, shared a message about Easter, and dished em up the American classic of hiding candy and the kids of the fam going on a hunt. It was a super sweet time, I was super grateful for the experience and know I'll never forget it!
With the message of easter accompanying the whole week, I've been asking people we're teaching a lot about why Easter is important. I know that for me, I think about Easter as the moment in history as we were given hope. Think about what we're celebrating - the atonement, the death and most of all, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how different perspective of life would be without knowledge of those truths. A life without redemption, without future, without change, and a life really without meaning. Because of Jesus Christ and his victory over death, we have hope for all things. Hope for a brighter future, full of the ones we love and also for ourselves. Because of Jesus Christ all things are possible, and I bear my testimony that I feel the truth of the words "He Lives." He didn't just give us hope here on Earth, but he gave us everlasting, undying hope for eternity.
He already payed the price for everything, now all that's left for us to do is to choose to accept it. I will follow Jesus Christ, and I know that all those who follow him with gain the blessings as well as the testimony that these things are true. What a fantastic moment to be celebrating, and how grateful I am to be here as one of his servants during this time! Happy Easter to all of you, let the phrase sink in that Jesus Christ did all of this out of his love for you.
Talk to all of you here next week, tchau my friends!
