TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS
Aight yall we COULD BE nearing the finale of the Elder Klinger/Elder Hillstead saga. A week from now, we'll have the transfer news in hand and eyes on the future. 3 months back we opened the area Macapa together, which means we got here at the same time, so I dunno if I'll stay or go or if Elder Klinger will stay or go, you never know. Either way, whatever goes down I know it's the Lord's will for him and I and I'm ready for it. That aside though lets get into the week...

Week was solid. Our stake pres. gave us some good advice a couple weeks back on 3 things that are a good rule of thumb for teaching success on the mish: AUDACITY, CONSISTENCY AND URGENCY. We've been really tryna take these 3 aspects to heart, and this week we focused a lot on consistency. We're setting a tonna goals each day and week and tryin' to take them to heart instead of just doing them for one day. I'm definitely seeing a ton of teaching growth in both Elder Klinger and I. I've been telling pres. Ferreira that dude's ready to train already, so I'm hyped to see what the future looks like for him here on the field.
Let me tell you all a tale of a family... and not just ANY family, but a very special family...
Once upon a time, in the summer of year MMXXV (about 1 month ago) we recieved a reference from a woman named Samara. When we stopped by to visit her, we met her and her 2 daughters; Sibelly & Samilly. They've been super awesome and nice to us and have taken a ton of interest in the church, and in everything we've been teaching. We've had this big ol activity going on these last 3 weeks, and I don't think Sibelly nor Samilly have missed a day. They're already super integrated with the members, super integrated with the ward and general and are already learning so much more than just what we taught them. And this last Sunday, the daughters along with their mom Samara, were BAPTIZED!! WOOOOO
It was such a happy day! And it was so good to know they're friends with a lot of the members, and even after we leave will be taken care of. Huge testament to the power of member and investigator involvement!

It was such a happy day! And it was so good to know they're friends with a lot of the members, and even after we leave will be taken care of. Huge testament to the power of member and investigator involvement! You guys, let's talk. I've been studying Christlike attributes this week and I'm sick and tired and fed up with being prideful. And I aint talking prideful like strolling the streets telling people you're the new best thing in the world, but like the back-of-your-mind, inner heart pride that stops one from being totally teachable and humble. Pride's gotta be like one of the most difficult things someone can overcome in life, cause it means putting full trust in God more so than yourself. Trusting fully his counsels, his commandments, and his wisdom more so than your own. Doesn't sound too difficult on paper right, but in a difficult moment it's easier said than done. Lucky for us the Lord gives us incredible counsel in Ether 12, which states;
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
That's the amazing thing about humility - it isn't just another difficulty about being human we've gotta overcome, but being humble is the WAY for us to overcome all hard things. Now I aint want a single soul reading this to think I'm some humility mastermind who's perfectly teachable and- naw. I got a long way's to go, but I recognize how much working towards this Christlike attribute can bless all of our lives! Folks, Christ is putting it as clear as he can: if he humble ourselves before him and have faith, he will make us stronger than our weaknesses in life. That is something I am for sure willing, and going to work towards, probably for my whole life. But I love my Savior, I love the scriptures and the promises he makes, and I have seen with my own 2 dang eyes these scriptural promises come true. Both in my life, and in the lives of others. I'm not just testifying of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I'm seeing it work in the lives of real people.
Love yall tons. Thanks for reading, I'll be anxious to share with yall the news of next week! Lets see what goes down.. in the next one
