KANSAS CITY/HEY HEY HEY

Aight gang in this very moment im at the marabá airport at 2:06 in the gosh dang a.m. so you know what that be meaning.

we gettin TRANSFERRED folks ✈️🛩 your boy is making the triumphant return to Belém and serving as zone leader with the dawg Elder Velasquez. I was actually surprised as tar 'cause I've only been in Marabá for one transfer, but the Lord wants me outta here AND he wants Elder Mortensen to train! My Kansas City brother is gonna be training one of the 25 arriving missionaries and man's gonna kill it. It's actually been such a fun transfer with him, dudes taught me a ton and we had so much fun while working hard. Mad grateful for bro, anyone who be companions with him in the future can be sure the transfer boutta be a party. Anyway though lemme get to the REST of the week cause some of the finest soldiers on the mission stopped by marabá this week, and shenanigans did occur... 👀

Guys IF you believe me, I found mr day oner Elder Schudde wandering around Marabá this week, so I asked what was up and we decided to run a quick division together! Such a chill day, got to see how much the guy's grown as a missionary since we were at the MTC together over a year ago, which was so cool. We had a wicked good day, ran around the south part of maraba to find people to teach, found some awesome folks and also this dude who serenated us straight up outta nowhere with his recorder (photo above), so the day was never to be forgotten, obviously

Neeext up, day after the division Elder Mortensen and I were walkin the streets and outta nowhere we look over and see good ol Elder Emett looking like a lost child in a supermarket. His companion finished his mission and went home this last week so Elder Emett was left all on his lonesome. We figured it only made sense for us 3 to put aside differences and make a team. So Elder Emett, Elder Mortensen and I got to work together for the second half of the week and it was so fun! There was a moment where we got attacked by a band of blood-thirsty brazilian street dogs, however Elder Mortensen fended them off before they could do any damage. Besides crime-fighting, we also had a super big miracle that went down this week with Irene, Yasmin's mom;

We've been working with Yasmin's parents for the whole transfer, trying to respond to their doubts and give them the personal confirmation they need to know the church is true. Saturday morning, we were planning for our day and Elder Emett was all like "uhhh vamos tentar realizar o batismo deles amanhã??" And we were all like we'll do our darndest and see what the Lord thinks. So we put our heads together and made the best lesson plan we could, then presented our plan to the Lord and went forward in faith.
That night, we were talking with her about repentance and the atonement, and she shared with us that she'd recieved her confirmation that Baptism is what the Lord wants her to do. We were so excited and happy for her! We asked her if she wanted to be baptized as soon as the following day (Sunday) and she said yes. We hosted her baptized after church and it was such a happy moment. I feel so grateful to have participated in this last-minute miracle here in marabá before leaving. The Lord is certainly aware of Irene and gave her the personal response she was needing.

The Lord is a worker of miracles! He is aware of each one of our lives and responds to our prayers. Miracles happen according to our faith, and I had to test the heck outta my faith this week to have that witness, but I know that it's true.

Alright sorry guys you've already read a whole bunch. Love you all and I'll report with more tales next week. Catch yall on the flip 🏇🏁
