MIRACLE OF THE WEEK:

So Elder Velasquez is Venezuelan. Dude knows Spanish like the back of his hand. He told me he wants to learn English too, and I told him I'll slip him the info on how if he teaches me some Spanish too, and that was the deal. So one day this last week, we were walking to a visit, practicing Spanish for like an hour straight. I was tryna learn how to pray, say the necessary words for a lesson and everything, when we arrived at the visit.

It was this reference named Jorge, who when we opened the door the FIRST thing he asked us was if we spoke Spanish. Bro moved to Brazil recently from Cuba, and he understood well but didn't speak any Portuguese. So boom, miracle number 1 that Elder Velaquez was in the right place at the right time to teach the guy in Spanish. But I was ALSO able to communicate a little with Jorge, bear my testimony and say the closing prayer. I felt super blessed that we had been practicing Spanish that whole day and that it wasn't just Elder Velasquez talking alone.

I have never practiced Spanish before on the mission, and I have also never met someone who solely speaks Spanish, and I know that it is no coincidence that those 2 things happened on the SAME day. God is in the works, and he knows who needs to be where to complete his will. Jorge ended up coming to church with us, has already accepted our invitation to read the book of mormon and even a baptismal date! It was a big testifier to me that if we keep working, working, working, the Lord will put us where he needs us and we will be able to find who he needs us to find. PS will definitely be on the Spanish grind these next weeks to continue being able to teach him hahaha

Other things:
   - we had zone p day last week ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘ I have not played soccer in a literal decade but I scored a goal or two which I was hyped about
   - we did visits with a recent convert named Rodrigo and he is the funniest dude ever + spiritual giant
   - Elder Velasquez is such a beast, we've been working hard all week and choosing to be happy about our work quality, despite whether or not other people accept the message. It's super easy to be in a good mood around the guy dude is always smiling
   - Elder Velasquez was also robbed yesterday ๐Ÿ˜” some crony on the bus got my man's phone and he was left phoneless ๐Ÿ“ต
   - we saw monkeys again ๐Ÿ’
   - our neighbors are members and also the nicest people in the world (let us use their wifi after comp lost his phone)
   - I miss zona maraba but it's aight ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿคง

Well folks that's basically the half of it! Twas a mighty good week. We got lucky and sent to our notes the photos from the week before his phone was stolen, so enjoy the flicks ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ“ธ talk to yall soon!
