NOW AND THEN ๐Ÿ•‘⏳

Daaali pessoal how are we doin? These last 6 weeks have flown the heck by holy cow, but now we're onto the next chapter in the mish novel. We had transfers yesterday, and I will be staying (finally) in Buritizal! Honestly so excited for this transfer, I'm gonna be comps with some stud named Elder Moraes who I've never met before but we're gonna go nuts this transfer and work our heads off.

Also my man Elder Klinger finally found his way out of Macapa (dude's been in one area for almost 8 months) and is now on his way to... the mission office!? That's right folk, my man is moving up to white collar work now. He's going to become the mission's finance secretary and be in charge of practically everything to do with money. It's a big job but he's gonna slay it, I've got a ton of faith in him and know he's a super hard worker.

Speaking of good ol Elder Klinger, I had a division with him this last week! Him and I had a throwback to the good old days and did a division in my old area Macapa. I literally felt like I never left hahaha, I got to see a bunch of familiar faces (including Edilane and Anderson! Flicks below) and got to see just HOW much Elder Klinger's progressed as a missionary. We spent the whole day just filling each other in on everything that's gone down in the last 4 months, and overall it was great to have one last day with him again.

Besides that though the rest of the week was pretty different than other weeks. My comp Elder Tellechea finished up his mission, so this week we tied it in a bow and visited for the last time some of his dawgs here in Buritizal. He's been here in the ward for 6 months so bro was basically a member by the time he left, so everyone was sad he was finally going. There transfer was legendary with this guy, I swear there wasn't a day where we weren't just laughing our heads off every 5 minutes, and he taught me a lot about how to better love the people we're teaching. He will be missed!
After he dipped I hit a MEAN division with Elder Almeida until transfers dropped. He's also a super good missionary, and it's so funny cause he's got circular glasses and literally a cross scar on his forehead, and so at lunch one Sunday a member called him Brazilian Harry Potter and everyone was dying. Overall though the week was good!

Yesterday in testimony meeting, there was a woman in a wheelchair who wanted to bear her testimony, so her son wheeled her up in front of the room and helped her get out of her chair to stand for a moment in front of the microphone. She was shaking and couldn't stand without her son helping her, and said that this time one year ago she was hospitalized. She couldn't get out of bed nor stand, and she wasn't able to go to church to take the sacrament which was very sad for her. But with teary eyes she explained HOW grateful she was to be able to go to church now, and how grateful she is that Jesus Christ knows and takes care of us.
Her testimony almost made me want to cry, despite the difficulties she went through she never doubted that Christ was taking care of her and that things would work out in the end. How often do we take small things, like going to church and taking the sacrament for granted? It is one of the great blessings we have in the restored church to be able to take the sacrament, and take upon us the name of Christ every week. If we take the sacrament worthily, we have the promise to always have his spirit with us. I invite those who are able to, on behalf of the many who cannot for a number of reasons, to partake of the blessings of the restauration. Don't miss church on Sunday, take the sacrament, go to the temple, read the book of mormon. At times they can seem like such simple things, but the value of these things are precious. Don't put things off until next week or tomorrow, do them today! You never know what may happen or what might change tomorrow.

Love you all, happy christmas season! Light the world folks. Use this time to give. It's the most joy someone can feel! I'll talk to you all next week with more of the novidades, peace ouut ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿฅถ
