FEB 9, 2026: CANNED HEAT
Whaddup folk, I'm thinkin that I'll start up a new tradition here on the hill mail. I love reading the stories of all the other fellas here in the MBB, so every week, Ima read your emails and decide which story was the most out there then I'll give y'all a doodle for it. This week's shoutout goes out to my boy Elder Brewer, who got slammed with a wall of rain outta nowhere
hope that umbrella did something for ya! #beleminthewinternãopresta
Anywayyys though, I got CRAZY sunburnt this last week. Remember how I mentioned we went and played volleyball at the beach area for a while last p-day? Dude, massive mistake. I forgot that I wear a collared shirt and pants every single day, and so when I wear regular clothes in the sun my freakin paper white skin is exposed and I burn up like a vampire.
So all week I've been getting roasted both literally and socially for being red as a coke can out here. Luckily, our sweet neighbor members let me borrow their umbrella for sun protection. Check the manliness:
As for the work end of things, this week had her difficulties but despite the rough ends I felt the Lord's hand helping us through every moment. I ran a division with Dr. Gunk (nickname I gave to Elder Young) and the whole day was just boom boom boom, nobody wanting to hear the message or answering the door. It was lowkey a tough day but when you're with a dawg like Elder Young anything's a good time.
This week we also had a BAPTISMMM

Dude actually straight up miracle. 3 week's ago we were walking from one appointment to the next when these 2 kids on their bikes called out to us. One of them, the older, introduced himself as Manoel and said he's already a member of the church, but it's been a while since he's gone and he's looking to return. And the younger, Elias, said he'd already been to church a time or two in the past but never arrived to be a member of the church. Well, we helped them find a ride system to church on Sunday, they've gone 3 weeks consistently and Elias has learned super well the lessons we've been teaching him, and he was baptized this week!
Great lesson to me that if we do the small and simple things each day, and consistently put ourselves in the position to recieve those who need our help, the Lord will put them in our path!
2 Nephi 30: 8
"And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall commence his work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of his people upon the earth."
We are living during the prophesied era of restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I testify from personal experience, that as you search to share these truths and your testimony of them with those that you know, the Lord will strengthen your words and will give you joy!
The invite:
Find a scripture that's been personally significant to you in your life, go to your contacts and the Spirit will tell you who is needing to hear it right now. Share it with them, say you've been thinking of them, and testify how it's helped you in your life! If they show interest, talk about it with them! You'll be surprised at how much you already know. Invite them to come to church to learn more, or to talk with the missionaries, and you'll be helping right alongside in this magnificent latter day work. It can be that simple!
Love you guys with my whole gosh dang heart and I hope you read this message and follow this invite that was baked with my whole gosh dang heart. I'll talk to you all next week, peace ouuuutuhh
