MAY 18: MORONI-LIKE BEHAVIOR
Hey everybody and good morning! Another week passed and went and we had some real good times, let's get right into it!
On Tuesday, this real sweet couple took us out to lunch! We knocked on their door, and they said "oh we were just leaving to get lunch, come with us!"
Apparently the mom's an inactive member of the church, and she whipped up lunch for the missionaries all the time back in the day. Super sweet people!
We went to Belém for a Multi-Zone conference this week! We got there early, so we asked the man upstairs if we could grab a bite to eat at the Ver-o-Peso and he said we could! Super fun to be there with the boys, felt like it was a miniature guys trip hahaha
The Multi-Zone conference was so good! Me and Elder Babcock both commented afterward about how the Spirit was present there, and how good all the trainings were. The guys from the staff are unmatched, love all of them.
We also had our FIRST in-person Zone Conference! We decided to make it Christmas themed to uh... well, you only live once right? We ran a secret Santa and sung christmas hymns together, it was a very special and memorable meeting!
Boys we got transfers next week, and I'm looking forward to whatever the Lord's got planned for me. Out here feeling like Moroni when he said, "and whither I go it mattereth not." Been SO grateful for my time here in Castanhal, but I'll cross the sappy goodbye bridge when I get there.
Elder Babcock & I have been singing hymns so much more this last week! I can testify to the spirit it brings. My dad always recommended I sing hymns before lessons because they bring the Spirit so fast and so strong, and I never did it out of embarrassment. This week though we tried it and like always dad was right, so I recommend that to missionaries reading this! Hymns are both prayers and testimonies in one go, and they're beautiful.
Alright I've gotta give some shout-outs
